Leopard Face

The Indian Leopard is a fierce lone hunter, just like other members of its great family. They are true masters of stealth, and they stay perfectly hidden in the forest’s shadows. They often come down from their treetop homes to hunt.

The leopard shows off its amazing strength and speed in wild areas where it has to compete with tough animals like Bengal tigers, striped hyenas, and dholes. It will often drag its heavy kills high up into the branches to keep them safe from scavengers.

These opportunistic hunters are built for raw power, not speed. They have strong skulls and very strong jaw muscles that make them perfect for taking down medium-sized herbivores. They eat mostly Chital, Sambar deer, and different kinds of langurs, but they are very adaptable and can live in a wide range of environments. They are also known to hunt Spotted Deer, Nilgai (Blue Bull), Wild Pigs, hares, and even porcupines, depending on where they live.
